Franco Migliacci, lyricist and author of many successes of Italian music, including "In the blue painted with blue", but also "Tintarella di luna", "Have your mother send you for milk", "Una rotunda" died this morning at the age of 92. on the sea".

The news comes from journalist Clemente Mimun, who made the announcement with a post on social media. Migliacci, who leaves behind a wife and three children, was hospitalized in a Roman clinic.

Also a record producer, music publisher, talent scout and actor, Migliacci wrote iconic songs for Gianni Morandi such as "There was a boy", "What will be", "Come te non c'è niente" and "Il cuore è un zingaro ".

Born in Mantua on 28 October 1930, Franco Migliacci studied in Florence where his family had settled. Then he moved to Rome, where he participated in some films as an extra or in small roles. Subsequently he worked as a screenwriter for TV and, later, also as an illustrator for the magazine Il Pioniere directed by Gianni Rodari. In 1957 a bad day will change his life: Migliacci decides to "send the world to hell" and to paint his hands and face blue, to disappear into the... blue painted blue. An idea that excites Massimo Modugno: from this intuition was born the song "Nel blu fantasia di blu", presented at the Sanremo Festival in 1958 and, after coming third at the Eurovision of that year, destined to become a global success.

Franco also wrote for Mina, Milva and Nada. He was also responsible for some of the theme songs for beloved cartoons such as "Heidi", "The New Adventures of Lupine III" and "Mazinger".

From 2003 to 2005 he was president of Siae.
