The 1st edition of the Kafd Globe Soccer European Awards closes today with the forum organized by Lega Serie A in which the European football industry comes together to explore the topics of financial stability, player welfare and multi-club ownership.

The forum will be held at the Hotel Cala di Volpe, where the protagonists of European football were celebrated yesterday. During the ceremony, hosted by Tom Urquhart and Melissa Satta, awards were given to champions of the caliber of Kylian Mbappé, the Paris Saint-Germain striker who is about to move to Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, who won the Bundesliga as coach with Bayer Leverkusen, and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal as Best Emerging Player.

But there is also a lot of Italy at the Globe Soccer European Awards: the technical commissioner of the national team Luciano Spalletti was present yesterday in Gallura, arriving with the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina and the head of the Italian delegation Gigi Buffon. And, it goes without saying, Gigi Riva, who passed away this year and was celebrated with the Lifetime Achievement Award: the award was collected by his son Nicola.

Among the awarded clubs stands out Atalanta, fresh winner of the Europa League, awarded yesterday by Mario Ferraro and Franco Carraro, CEO and president of Smeralda Holding, and by the mayor of Arzachena Roberto Ragnedda, but also Manchester City and, among the teams women, Barcelona. Special awards to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Cesc Fabregas, fresh from promotion to Serie A with Como, and the president of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The Globe Soccer Awards were preceded by the LaLiga awards, for the best performers of Spanish football in the 2023/24 season: Best Goal award to Jesus Areso of Osasuna, Best Player to Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid, Best Coach to Michel of Girona and Best U23 Player in Yamal (double for him).

Appointment at the end of the year for the overall titles. The European edition of the Globe Soccer Awards in fact paves the way for other continental celebrations, which will involve Africa, America and Asia: the winners will meet in Dubai for the most important ceremony, which will decide the overall winners.
