Giuliano Pillolla, centaur-policeman, obtained his first points in the Yamaha R7 Cup IMF trophy. The rider from Pimentel, Italian Moto 160 Sport vice-champion of Cnv Motoasi 2022, this year made his debut in the competitive Yamaha single-make series which, after the first round at Misano (April 30) and the second at Mugello (May 14) , like that of Vallelunga (June 18) combined with the Civ Championship, will then stop at Imola (July 16), in conjunction with the Superbike World Championship, and will close with the final at Mugello (August 27). A demanding program, which Pillolla manages to reconcile with his work as a police officer at the Cagliari police station.

Season. In his debut at Misano, Pillolla obtained a 28th place in qualifying out of 40 competitors and then managed to finish 18th in the race, ahead of professional riders with great experience in the category. At Mugello he did even better, managing to capitalize on a weekend conditioned by an alternation of torrential rains and summer heat. “In qualifying I did the 21st time, because after starting in the wet the track dried but I didn't have the time to attempt a lap on the slick tyres” Giuliano said. “The race was expected to be dry, but during the warm-up it started to rain and continued throughout the race. I joined a small group, behind the leaders, and finished 15th under torrential rain. I'm very happy with a result that for me counts as a victory. There were several crashes and I, who had never ridden in the wet before, managed to complete the race and get my first point of the season. Now we wait for Vallelunga, which will always run in conjunction with the Civ, then it will be the turn of Imola, a race in which we will share the paddock with the Superbike world championship".

Motorcycles and Police. «I can only thank my managers and my colleagues at the Cagliari Police Headquarters and all my sponsors. It's my first season at this level and none of this would be possible without their support: they support me, they believe so much in the project and I want to give my best to repay them," Giuliano underlined. «My work and sporting commitments go hand in hand: fighting for safety also involves me in my free time. As a motorcyclist, but above all as a policeman, I realize that there is a great need to talk to everyone, young and old, about the importance of limits, the pitfalls of the road and the use of protection. Obviously for speed we have the right places, of which we know and know very little", added the police officer, very popular on social networks and on YouTube, where he tells the backstage of matches and away games with his videos, is engaged in initiatives promoted by the SIULP trade union of the State Police. «I try to involve those who follow me in various initiatives such as driving courses and track activities, where there are no speed limits and you can race in total safety by following the simple rules that govern the circuits».
