Giovanni Sini, secretary of the Chilivani racecourse for decades, has died.

Sardinian horse racing mourns the death of Giovanni Sini, born in 1948. Originally from Benetutti, Sini was the secretary of the "Don Deodato Meloni" racecourse in Chilivani for decades.

A courteous, intelligent, precise, and competent man, Giovanni Sini was hired in 1977 by the then Sardinian Horse Breeding Institute. Having become secretary of the Chilivani racecourse's racing club, he was a point of reference for everyone, from owners to trainers to jockeys.

An amateur footballer in his youth, he then worked in the equestrian world for almost half a century with kindness and helpfulness, which everyone appreciated.
