Giovanna Civitillo: "The meeting with my husband Amadeus marked the end of my career"
The former dancer retraces the stages of her marriage with the Sanremo conductor: "I have always been close to him, with optimism and enthusiasm, even in dark times"

"Meeting Ama marked the end of my career".
Giovanna Civitillo, 44, tells “Domenica In” the background of her marriage to Amadeus, which has been going on happily for thirteen years.
The two met when the conductor of Sanremo ready for the trio (from 1st to 5th February) presented L'Eredità and she was a dancer. A dream, that of treading the stages, which he had for 9 years. “Before meeting him - he explained to Mara Venier - I was part of various ballet bodies from Mediaset to Rai. My desire was to be a dancer on TV ”.
“Amadeus has turned my life upside down”, he continues, “but for the better: a deeper dream was to build the beautiful family I have. He and our son Josè have become the meaning of my life, what I wanted, my priorities have changed ". But that sacrifice still makes her escape a tear: “It cost me a lot, even today when I go to the theater and hear the applause I am moved”, he said with wet eyes.
The first appointment with Amadeus was born on his initiative: “He asked me for a coffee. Then, taking me back, she tried to give me a kiss, elegantly, but I pulled back and found myself attached to the window of the car ”, she remembers with a smile. “I resisted a lot. Until I realized that I couldn't wait to go to work to meet him ".
Amadeus is very jealous, he says, “while I am jealous but rational. I am bothered by the gattemorte, that yes ".
The husband, as he himself recalled some time ago, for a long time was practically still from the working point of view: "But I have always been the same with him, even in his dark moment I have always been present with my enthusiasm and my optimism ".
And now that he will see him on the Ariston stage for the third consecutive year “I am happy for him and for myself. On that stage it is as if I were there ".
