«We found blood and saliva belonging to Mr Luigi Gulisano on the armrest of an armchair. The hypothesis is that this is the point where the compression of his face occurred due to suffocation» . This was clarified yesterday morning by Colonel Andrea Berti, commander of the RIS of Cagliari , showing on the screen of the Assize Court the photos of the findings carried out in the apartment in via Ghibli , where on 4 December 2024 the spouses Luigi Gulisano (79 years old) and Marisa Dessì (82) were found dead. The trial of the couple's youngest son, Claudio, 44 years old, accused of aggravated double homicide, is therefore entering the heart of the matter.
The officer clarified that the office where the bodies were found had been washed, but he couldn't determine when. However, it appears that the mop (on which the defendant's DNA was found) had not been used at the spot where the elderly couple's bodies were found.
The colonel also presented the video footage taken from CCTV cameras in the Via Ghibli area. He explained that the resolution wasn't sufficient to definitively identify the suspect, but that his height and build matched .
