The Gesico archeology laboratory, promoted by the municipal administration and by the tourist association Pro loco and reserved for children aged 5 to 15 , kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday 30 August (priority will be given to resident children).

The workshop, entitled "From the earth comes history - Let's learn with archeology" by the archaeologist Maily Serra, will close on Saturday 3 September with a visit to the exhibition "Nuragica: a journey through time" set up in the Cagliari Fair.

The meetings will be held in the Casa Dessì , with guided tours of Monte San Mauro and the nuraghe of San Sebastiano. "This is a project in which we strongly believe, because we believe it is essential to bring the little ones closer to the study of our history and the coverage of our culture", underlines the president of the tourist association Carlo Carta. The initiative is included in the “Summer in Gesico” exhibition promoted by the Municipality in collaboration with the Union of Trexenta Municipalities, the Trexenta Experience association and all the cultural associations active in Gesico.

As part of the same summer festival, on Saturday 3 September, the presentations of the books "I wish it were always spring" by Jenny Carboni, "The perfume of freedom" by Carlo Sorgia, and "Oltre il mandorleto" by Vincenzo Soddu, with the readings by Dario Cosseddu.

"We are working to promote literary culture, also through the creation of a cultural association that can carry out initiatives of this type in the hope of involving the youngest in particular," said Mayor Terenzio Schirru.
