After the first two sold out shows, Geppi Cucciari repeats this evening, Saturday 24 May, at the Teatro Massimo at 7:30 pm and tomorrow at the Teatro Centrale in Carbonia one hour later the brilliant monologue “Perfetta”, born from the sensitive and masterly pen of Mattia Torre, an author who passed away prematurely.

An ironic monologue included as an extraordinary event of the Season of Great Prose organized by CeDAC Sardegna chaired by Antonio Cabiddu and directed by Valeria Ciabattoni.

An original play, full of humor, for an unusual female portrait: the protagonist of “Perfetta” is a modern career woman, busy reconciling the dual role of wife and mother with her work, grappling with the physical and psychological changes related to the menstrual cycle. A tricky and in some ways still taboo theme, between ancient prejudices and clichés that persist in the face of greater knowledge of the delicate balance between body and mind, of mood swings and the divergence of sensitivity corresponding to the different phases that follow one another over the course of four weeks, or a lunar month.

“Perfetta”, an ITC2000 production with music by Paolo Fresu and stage costumes designed by Antonio Marras, represents a sort of “diary” in which a woman records her moods under the influence of her cycle, including feelings of well-being or tiredness, greater or lesser irritability: a chronicle of four apparently identical Tuesdays, marked by the same obligations and rhythms, in which the determining and (un)predictable factor is given by the hormones, which alter the protagonist's behavior, influencing her reactions and even her view of the world.

Geppi Cucciari returns to the Island after an amazing season with her program “Splendida Cornice”, her participation in Ferzan Ozpetek's latest masterpiece “Diamanti”, her co-hosting of Sanremo with Mahmood and her success at Lol-Chi ride è fuori.
