Traveling activist Rosalba Castelli returns to the Sulcis region with her project "Footprints of Shadow." The goal of the president of the Turin-based Artemixia association is to raise awareness about the fight against gender violence, with a particular focus on remembering the victims of femicide. Having completed much of her journey (1,200 km on foot, meeting 1,800 young people), and backpacking for 80 days, ahead of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Castelli returned to where it all began last September: today in Carbonia, she met with students from the Beccaria-Loi Institute and the Gramsci Amaldi University.

A thought then went to the victims of femicide, Gisella Orru and Stefania Crobu. The "Amiche di lana" group Knit Cafè will donate an embroidered cushion to Stefania's family. In the evening, the meeting took place in Bacu Abis and the transfer to Iglesias, where a torchlight procession is planned for 7:00 PM. Tomorrow, November 25th, at 8:30 AM in Iglesias, Father Giorgio Fois will celebrate Mass at the Poor Clare Monastery. Immediately afterward, Rosalba Castelli will travel to Domusnovas, where a meeting with schools is scheduled for 11:00 AM.

The day will conclude in Cagliari at 4:30 pm at the City Council meeting with Giulia Andreozzi, Councilor for Public Education and Equal Opportunities, and Susi Ronchi, president of Giulia Giornaliste Sardegna. "Returning to Sulcis and then to Cagliari, in the days leading up to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, is not just a step in my journey: it's a return to my roots," emphasized Rosalba Castelli: "It was here that I took my first steps, and it was here that I fell in love with Sardinia."
