On October 10, 11 and 12, Marina Cafè Noir - Mcn will return to Cagliari, on the scenic and panoramic terrace of the Bastione Saint Remy. The first and longest-running literary festival in Sardinia returns for its 22nd edition with a rich program and a collaboration with Ied Cagliari, the European Institute of Design directed by Antonio Lupinu.
Three previews, October 1, 2, and 3 at the Accademia popolare and Caffè Savoia. Among the highlights is the concert, on the 11th, by Max Gazzè. The eclectic Roman singer-songwriter, accompanied on stage by Ilaria Porceddu, voice and piano and Emanuele Contis on wind instruments, offers a free concert specifically for the festival, with three quarters of an hour of music.
"A great gift for the festival and the city of Cagliari", explain the organizers, the Chourmo association, Giacomo Casti, Donatella Mendolia and Francesco Scanu. Guests include Dario Ferrari, Carlotta Vagnoli, Wu Ming 4, Valentina Mira and Alessandro Cattelan . Possible Happiness is the chosen theme. First time in Sardinia for the Argentine computer scientist and writer Juan Carlos De Martin, debut in Italy for Yomi Adegoke, a British author with Nigerian origins.
Also on the program are scholar Somdeep Sen, author of "Decolonize Palestine", Italian-Somali singer, actress and writer Saba Anglana, New York writer of Ghanaian origins, Nana Kwame Adjei-Bregan. Also at Mcn will be Maurizio Carucci, historic frontman of Ex-Otago, making his debut in fiction. In addition to Max Gazzè, the Dance Craze, an eight-piece band for a concert all about dancing, are expected, then the talented saxophonist Gavino Murgia with an unreleased project, the extraordinary voice of Francesca Corrias, Valucre, a very young Sardinian singer-songwriter and Marta Loddi. The festival remembers Nicolo Pomata from Carloforte, historic chef of the restaurant industry, who passed away a few months ago. His son Luigi, an appreciated chef, and Massimo Podda, commercial director of Cantina Santadi, will remember him.
During the "Fiesta Final", on the 12th at 11 pm with the "popular cooking", a theatre-cooking performance, Luigi and his brigade will offer the public the "linguine alla Nicolo", a tourist attraction dish, created in 1973.
