After having sold out at the TSE in Cagliari last month, the show "Communication" by the comedian Gabriele Cossu, the solo theatrical debut of the artist from Sulcis, is approaching another sold out, and he returns to the stage to analyze with subtle irony which distinguishes it from the errors and blunders that one happens to encounter in current communication.
On Saturday 11 November, at 9pm at the Teatro Centrale in Carbonia, Gabriele Cossu will review gaffes and double meanings taken from newspapers, signs, labels, school circulars and even from letters received from insurance agencies.
But not only that: to act as a glue between the various most exquisitely comic moments, there will be no shortage of monologues and sketches by some of his luckiest characters.
Joining him on stage will be the singer Pamela Lorico, well known to the Sardinian public as a member of the Balentes, the vocal trio dedicated to the reworked ethnic repertoire, and the choreographer, dancer and teacher, specialist in Middle Eastern dances, Rebecca Mascia.
The latter will have the task of staging aspects of communication that do not occur only through words, but through the body, the voice and art in general, capable of arousing emotions and sensations in the spectator.
«I wanted to create this show alone, without any of the artistic partners who have accompanied my career so far, such as Chicca Zara, Ilenia Tocco, Jacopo Cullin and the Lapolas, for various reasons - explains Gabriele Cossu - The first is linked to a strong need for artistic growth: taking on total responsibility for 'making the audience laugh' is a stimulus to do even better, but also to vary and enrich my repertoire. Communication is much closer to the monologue technique, inevitably, than to the call-and-response dialogue typical of stand-up cabaret. Not only that: in this new experience, I finally gave a lot of space to myself and therefore to the monologist without a mask . In fact, there will only be three characters that I will bring on stage who will however have the task of interpreting new and more detailed scripts than in the past. The choice to bring my creatures to the theater is a gamble, and contextualizing them on a stage other than the square is a new and further challenge."
