The series of hearings on the €750 million budget variation, currently under consideration by the Commission, began with a mixed response in the Regional Council.
Numerous defections occurred among agricultural organizations and unions , the entities called to open the 48-hour full-immersion listening session. These absences were justified by the last-minute invitation.
Whether remotely or in person, the voices have been heard. The CISL (Italian Union of Workers' Unions) has expressed its support, in the overall assessment, and has nonetheless reiterated some issues in the upcoming financial measures, such as the single sector. Coldiretti, on the other hand, has highlighted the urgent need for measures to improve freight transport and reduce bureaucracy: "It's becoming a cancer for agricultural businesses," said President Battista Cualbu.
The absences have contributed to rekindling the conflict between the two sides. While the majority is confident of bringing the bill to the floor quickly, for approval within the month, the opposition remains critical of the "mini-budget ," as well as the €30 million earmarked for the airport privatization and the urgent issues, especially the high cost of fuel.
