A long sequence of paintings, arranged side by side, to represent "The longest nose in the world": in the first there is a Pinocchio sitting on the coast of Sardinia, but his nose is so long that it also crosses all the others works for seventy meters, until reaching the rest of Italy and Abruzzo.

The project, created by the Cagliari artist Gianluca Petrini, also author of the first painting with the famous puppet, and by the little ones Francesco and Ginevra Margiotta, is called "Di favola in Fiaba" and the exhibition - sponsored by the Carlo Collodi National Foundation and the Regions Sardinia and Abruzzo - has just been inaugurated in L'Aquila.

"The goal - explained Petrini - is to bring children closer to art and art to children and to shorten this nose more and more to donate the proceeds from the sale of the paintings to associations that take care of the little ones".

At the opening of the exhibition there were all seventy artists - including adults and children - who contributed to the realization. Among them numerous Sardinians: in addition to Petrini, among others, Luigi Lai, Isabelle D'Angelo, Gianni Corda, Rita Xaxa, Alessandra Sorcinelli, the Collodi school of Cagliari, Lorena Ibba, Pietrina Atzori.

The Guinness World Record artist, Dale, who created an impromptu work with the children, and the master Mimmo Emanuele, an artist from L'Aquila, took part in the event.

"The longest nose in the world" will also be exhibited in Sardinia in 2022.
