From Rita Pavone to Cristiano Malgiolgio, here are the new octogenarians of 2025
Among the international artists the first is Rod Stewart, he turns 10 on January 10th

A long list of famous people who will turn eighty in 2025, ranging from Rita Pavone - who already has a musical event planned for May in Milan - to Wim Wenders who will arrive just one week apart : the wild musical myth on August 23 and the cult director of more than one generation on August 14. In Italy, Wenders is expected to direct Les pêcheurs de perles, by George Bizet, in September.
And the group of sacred monsters who will turn 80 or 90 in the year just begun is truly large, and the first to do so is Rod Stewart, who turns 80 on January 10. In June, just to celebrate, he will return to the stage of the Glastonbury Festival, which he has missed for 23 years. Also reaching the milestone of 80 is Eric Clapton, the guitar legend who announced his return to Italy with two concerts at the Unipol Forum in Milan, scheduled for May 27 and 28, 2025, who turns 80 on March 30. Keith Jarrett, who reaches the milestone on May 8, will also be on tour with concerts in Italy: in Rome on February 17.
Neil Young is expected to return after his tour stop, waiting for his birthday on November 12th. To which are added, as already mentioned, Rita Pavone on August 23rd and before that Bobby Solo who blows out the candles on March 18th.
Then there are Cristiano Malgioglio (March 12) who is all the rage behind the table of Che Tempo che Fa, and Teo Teocoli who turns 80 on February 25 , always ready for a polemical clash. Also, Gianni Minoli (May 26), Claudio Lippi (June 3) and Enrico Montesano (June 7). The director Gianni Amelio turns 80 on January 20: with his Campo di battaglia he has just toured Italy far and wide.
Away from the set but still active Tom Selleck, splendid Magnum PI, who turns 80 on January 29 and Mia Farrow, who celebrates them on February 9. Even more on the crest of the wave Willem Dafoe who joins them on July 22 and who in 2025 will give life to the theater sector of the Venice Biennale of which he will be artistic director.
And the ninety-year-olds? There will be: Giovanna Ralli (January 2); Corrado Augias (January 26), Milena Vukotic (January 23); Luciano Benetton (May 13). Not to mention the wonderful Julie Andrews, 90 years old on October 1st and Woody Allen who closes the year on November 30th and apparently is preparing a new film in Barcelona about which nothing is known yet.
