Ten years of music, research, and experimentation. SeuinMusica – Alternative Music Festival returns.
from 24th to 26th July to celebrate its tenth edition, confirming itself as one of the most important events
most original of the Sardinian musical scene.
Founded in 2012 and organized by the Kromatica association, the festival has carved out a distinct identity over the years, bringing artists to the heart of Seui's historic center, embracing diverse languages and genres—from jazz to electronic music, blues to rap, musical theater to singer-songwriter music—while never compromising on research and cross-pollination. To celebrate this important milestone, the lineup features some of the most exciting names on the national and island music scene, with guitarist and composer Paolo Angeli spearheading a particularly rich edition.
As per tradition, the SeuinStreetBand, the town's innovative marching band, will open the festival on the afternoon of Friday, July 24, bringing music and cheer to the town's streets before the audience moves to Piazza San Giovanni.
The evening will get into the heart of the matter with Brulla , an intense theatrical piece and sound documentary for voice and live electronics by Francesco Giomi and Michela Atzeni , before leaving room for the highly anticipated concert by Paolo Angeli , who will present Lema, his latest album, the protagonist of a long international tour that began last January.
The first day will close with the experiments of Tun – Torino Unlimited Noise , the trio composed of Gianni Denitto, Fabio Giachino and Mattia Barbieri, capable of blending jazz, improvisation and electronics in an original and engaging sound proposal.
On Saturday, July 25, the festival will open with the presentation of the 2025 Yearbook of Sa Scena, the magazine that has been chronicling the music produced in Sardinia for almost eight years, entrusted to Simone La Croce and Claudio Loi.
Following this, a musical aperitif will accompany the audience with Space Roosters , a project by the Massidda-Meledina duo, while the evening will continue with a concert by Feruja, a band from Sulcis that blends blues, electronic music, Mediterranean rhythms and West African influences.
Vocal-loop exploration will take center stage with Mumucs, Marta Loddo's personal project , before handing over the stage to saxophonist Marco Scipione , a musician capable of forging an original path between jazz, world music, and experimentation. The grand finale will be entrusted to Cagliari's La Grasa de Pollo , a quartet made up of experienced musicians who will perform their recent debut album, Mescalización.
On the final day of the festival, "Una verissima storia del Jazz" will be performed, a theatrical show conceived by Pier Francesco Loche and Paolo Fresu and produced by Insulae Lab, which recounts, through words and music, the Sardinian jazz season of the 1980s.
Joining Loche himself on stage will be Gianluca Tozzi and Paolo Assiero Brà. Closing out the tenth edition of SeuinMusica will be Ilaria Porceddu and Emanuele Contis , who will present Lumià, a recently released work that blends singer-songwriter, electronic music, and cinematic imagery.
Alongside the concerts there will be collateral events, which have always been an integral part of the identity
of the festival. Throughout the event, it will be possible to visit the photography exhibition "Ten Years of SeuinMusica," a multi-site exhibition dedicated to the history of the festival and set up in various locations throughout the historic center. This exhibition, in addition to the town's extensive museum network, will offer visitors a further opportunity to discover Seui's cultural heritage.
From Friday to Sunday, the "Is Minadoris" Multipurpose Center on Via Torino will also host the Crazy Cat tattoo studio, which will contribute to the event's atmosphere with a space dedicated to the art of tattooing.
