Seven students from Iglesias are attending a drama class in Spain, where they will perform tonight in a performance curated by Sicilian actor and director Francesco Campolo and Slovenian actress Iva Grobin.

The young people are currently in Cortes de la Frontera, in the heart of Andalusia, in the province of Malaga, as part of the Erasmus+ project "Dare to be me," organized by the local association Amigos de Europa in collaboration with the Slovenian association Zavod Voluntariat . They are Alessandra Ballocco, Riccardo Ballocco, Riccardo Sanna, Asia Sanna, Sara Sanna, Michele Vinci, and Stefano Pittau, who left Iglesias last week and are about to conclude their experience with a performance in front of the local population of the Spanish town.

The young people of Iglesias were able to participate in the project thanks to the support of Informagiovani, through the Cissa association (Centro Iglesiente Studi SpeleoArcheologici), which was responsible for finding the participants and accompanying them to Spain, offering them this valuable opportunity.

"We wanted to broaden the horizons of the association, which also provides adult education," explains Francesco Ballocco, president of CISSA, "this time focusing on young people. After our experiences with schools, this was a tremendous opportunity to offer an educational experience to the association's youngest members as well."

This evening, in the main square of the Andalusian town, the performance will culminate in a performance of the week's work with Slovenian and Spanish peers. The show will be a journey of self-discovery, through awareness of one's strengths and fears, one's dreams and aspirations, with the goal of freeing oneself from the judgment and expectations of others.
