Thirteen-year-old Gabriele Chiesa from Cagliari has earned a spot in the national finals in the "junior guitarist" category of the new edition of the Tour Music Fest – The European Music Contest in San Marino. After successfully completing the Live Auditions, Gabriele is now one of the very young Italian guitarists to have achieved such a high ranking in the competition.
The finals , which will take place from November 22nd to 30th at the Little Tony Auditorium in San Marino , will see the young artist on stage on November 23rd to try to reach the European final scheduled for November 30th , where he will have the chance to represent Sardinia and Italy. The performances will be judged by leading figures from the international music scene, including Francesco Rapaccioli , Paola Folli , and international judge Kara DioGuardi , already known for her role on American Idol and for her collaborations with international artists.
Among the prizes up for grabs in the final are some truly significant opportunities for a young musician: a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston; the production of a single offered by Riunite; and a €10,000 sponsorship deal to invest in their artistic career.
Gabriele was selected from over 28,000 participants from across Europe, examined during auditions that spanned thirteen countries. The artistic committee, composed of industry experts, recognized Gabriele's strong artistic identity , combined with remarkable expressive and communicative ability , essential elements for a young, developing talent. In recent years, the contest stage has seen the emergence of artists who have gone on to establish themselves on the national scene.
Until a few days ago , Maestro Peppe Vessicchio was president of the Italian Tour Music Fest committee. His passing was greeted with sadness by the music world and by the Tour Music Fest itself, which publicly remembered his commitment and institutional presence in the project .
