In some cases there was even an inauguration with great fanfare. In others, however, only premises of imminent openings. In the Oristano area the year ends with several museums still with the four arrows despite the funding from the Region for their construction.
In Cabras the museum which, once ready, should host all the Giants of Mont'e Prama, has not yet taken off. It was supposed to be ready two years ago, but between the pandemic and various setbacks between the company and construction management, the ribbon cutting didn't take place.
In Nurachi, in via Dante, there is a museum dedicated to Peppetto Pau. A structure born from the renovation of a house purchased by the Municipality in 1995 thanks to regional funds and inaugurated in 2006. The museum, however, has never been open to the public, except for a few events. «Unfortunately there has never been any entrepreneur interested in investing in the culture of our territory», comments mayor Renzo Ponti.
In Baratili San Pietro, in via Roma, there is a building that the Municipality purchased in 2012 to create the "Farmer's Museum". Total investment: 110 thousand euros. The current administration invested 516 thousand euros for the renovation six years ago. «The renovation works are in their final stages» explains the deputy mayor Giannantonio Madau.
But there is also a museum in San Vero Milis. The structure was inaugurated in 1986 but never opened its doors as a real exhibition. Mayor Luigi Tedeschi promises the opening in spring. The Santa Giusta museum, in via Giovanni XXIII, is also waiting to see the light. A building built in the 80s. The renovation works, thanks to the 500 thousand euros allocated by the Region, began some time ago.
