A tribute to Italian bel canto through music, beauty, and shared good wishes. This Saturday at 8:00 p.m., the Teatro Civico in Sassari will host the " Belcanto Christmas Party ," a Christmas opera gala featuring soprano Nikoletta Hertsak and character baritone Matteo Torcaso, accompanied on the piano by Jakob Schroeder .

The program celebrates Italian opera through the most beloved and brilliant works of bel canto, presented in a strongly festival-like setting, designed to bring audiences closer to opera with lightheartedness, emotion, and warmth. Admission is free, confirming Ars Aurelia's inclusive mission, committed to making classical music accessible and alive. The goal is to combine musical quality with an openness to a broad and diverse audience.

Ukrainian soprano Hertsak and baritone Torcaso arrive in Sassari for the second installment of the "Voices of Christmas" series, drawing on significant international experience, including the Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo and the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. They bring energy, charisma, and a deep knowledge of the bel canto repertoire to the stage. Simone Azzu will host the evening.

Artistic director Irene Dore proposes an important moment of encounter: a concert and a collective toast to exchange greetings in a festive, elegant, and engaging atmosphere, where opera meets the spirit of Christmas: "The Ars Aurelia association, in collaboration with the Contrapunctum ETS association, invites the city to experience a special evening of music and sharing."
