An Italian title built in two matches: Francesco Torre takes center stage at the finals of the Italian KickJitsu Championships held at the Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo , under the aegis of Federkombat. The fifteen-year-old athlete from the Tarantini Fight Club managed his two tests in the Bantam Weight category (-62 kg) with lucidity.
In the semifinals, the athlete from Sassari finished in 40 seconds, finishing off her opponent and earning her passage to the final act. The final match was longer and more closely contested, but still under control: Torre won on points by a unanimous decision.
This result is part of a process already underway. In March, the Sassari team won 15 medals at the KickJitsu regionals, confirming the growth of the younger group.
KickJitsu remains a formative discipline, useful for developing rhythm, combat management and transitions between different phases, which are also central elements in MMA.
"Our athletes are growing competition after competition," comments Master Angelo Tarantini . "Kickjitsu is an important step in developing well-rounded athletes who are also skilled in mixed martial arts."
