The Yellow Cross of Ploaghe, a volunteer association founded on January 14, 1981, operating within the 118 emergency service, has announced the name of the star chosen to celebrate 45 years of service in the healthcare system. On July 31, artist Francesco Gabbani will take the stage for a live concert as part of his 2026 tour, one of the stops scheduled for next summer, where he will perform at various festivals and outdoor arenas. The 43-year-old Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for winning the Sanremo Music Festival twice as a newcomer in 2016 with "Amen" and the 2017 Big with "Occidentali's Karma," is renowned for his ironic and catchy lyrics. In 2017, he represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest, placing sixth. He then placed second at the 2020 Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Viseversa," winning the TIMmusic Award. He was also a judge on the music television program X Factor and host of Ci vuole un fiore on Rai 1.
