The “QuARTu tra Saperi e Sapori” project began last weekend, an initiative sponsored by the municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena within the general program of the Civic Administration, led by the Mayor Graziano Milia, “Rethinking the and the cities - Activities Cultural, Entertainment and Art".

The event offers a rich program for September and October following three parallel strands: theatre, literature and classical music.

“QuARTu tra Saperi & Sapori” will be divided into three events: “Teatro di sole voci”, with performances for speaking voice and guitar, “Io leggo festival”, a cycle of book presentations with Sardinian authors awarded at regional and national level, and the fifth edition of the “Mauro Giuliani International Guitar Festival” which will host some virtuosos of the six strings.

The exhibition was opened by Aldo Cinus, Roberto Demontis, Augusto Marini and Mariano Staffa, with the presentation of the book published by Isolapalma “Accabadora – myth and reality. History and finds of a discovery", which tells of the extraordinary discovery of some work tools that belonged to an accabadora. A fascinating investigation into this arcane figure, conducted through the tools of scientific and anthropological investigation.

The second appointment featured Anna Brotzu, actress, journalist and writer, in the show “Nati per Amare”. The actress's voice, accompanied by Simone Onnis' guitar, guided the audience to discover Love through the words of ancient and modern poets and writers, to remind us that this universal feeling belongs to and unites everyone, without discrimination.

Next appointment tonight, Friday 15 September, at 7.30 pm at the Auditorium of the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli with Enzo Parodo, renowned actor and director, who has been on the Sardinian theater scene for forty years, with his latest show “MIALINU, il Michelangelo Pira's theatre”.

Following, Thursday 21 September, an intense day of the Festival with a double appointment: at 6.00 pm at the Ex Convento dei Cappuccini special guest Maria Francesca Chiappe, journalist of L'Unione Sarda, who will present, interviewed by the poet and playwright Anna Cristina Serra, her latest book “Hostage”, published by Castelvecchi.

Immediately afterwards, at 9pm, "Aesop's Fables", a show for children and young people, with Lia Careddu, actress, narrator and director of the mise en scène which will see the successful Quartese guitarist Simone Onnis return to the stage, first Sardinian to have performed at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, one of the most important concert halls in the world.

More literature on Sunday 1 October at 6pm again at the Ex Convento dei Cappuccini with the book “Il laccio e il venom” by Maurizio Dessalvi published by Aracne. Subsequently he held the position of Cultural Affairs Attaché at the Italian Cultural Institutes of Athens, Brussels and Haifa.
