Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc won the Monaco Grand Prix, eighth round of the Formula 1 world championship.
This is the Monegasque's first success on his home circuit, where he had started from pole position twice before without finishing the race.
«There are no words to explain my joy. It's such a difficult race, as proven by the fact that I tried twice and failed to win. This is the race that made me dream of becoming a pilot. In the last 15 laps I wasn't thinking about driving, but only about my dad (who passed away in 2017, ed.), because this was our dream", said Leclerc. «I drove a careful race but in the last laps I was able to push a little, because the Ferrari was perfect. I have to thank the team who gave me a fantastic car and the public who always supported me."
Also on the podium were the Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Carlos Sainz in the other Ferrari.
In fourth place went Norris, in a McLaren, ahead of George Russell's Mercedes and Max Verstappen's Red Bull, sixth at the finish line as he had started.
The race was stopped with a red flag on the first lap due to a scary accident involving Sergio Perez's Red Bull and the two Haas cars at the rear, which were partially destroyed in the crash.
