Juventus has announced the arrival of its new technical director, officially naming François Modesto. The Frenchman, born in 1978, is the man chosen by general manager Damien Comolli to build the team for coach Igor Tudor. This is the forty-six-year-old's second managerial stint in Italy, following his stint at Monza between 2022 and 2024 as technical director. As a player (as a defender), he played for Cagliari from 1999 to 2004.

"Joining such a glorious club is both an honor and a great responsibility for me. This club boasts an extraordinary history and a culture of victory that I deeply admire," Modesto told the club's official channels. " I'm thrilled to begin this new journey, working closely with Damien, coach Igor Tudor, and the entire staff to build an ambitious, modern, and successful project. I will offer all my experience and commitment to contribute to Juventus' success, in Italy and in Europe."

"I am delighted to welcome François to our organization," Comolli said. "His role will be central in coordinating the Technical Department (Match Analysis, Medical Department, Performance, and Psychology) and Igor Tudor's staff, helping to strengthen the club's sporting identity. Modesto's choice is the result of careful consideration: we believe his experience, gained in diverse and competitive environments, and his knowledge of Italian football can make an immediate and lasting contribution to Juventus' growth ."
