After several years managing the youth sector of a club in the Veneto region, Lulù Oliveira is now focusing on women's soccer. He has been hired by Riccione Women for the 2025/26 season, a Serie C team . Oliveira has already made his debut with two wins in as many games. The Belgian-Brazilian champion spent several years playing for Cagliari, Fiorentina, Bologna, Catania, and Derthona. After returning to Sardinia, he first played for and then coached Muravera, earning an official Lega Nord award as the best Italian amateur coach in 2013. He then left Sardinia, moving to the Veneto region and managing the youth sector of a club in the province of Venice. After leaving Sardinia, Oliveira, now 56, moved to the province of Venice in September 2019, and then took on the role of coach of the Campodarsego national junior team. Now, he embarks on a new journey in women's soccer with a renewed and ambitious club aiming for great things.

Oliveira, Brazilian, Belgian, Muravera native, has Cagliari in his heart. "I felt good in Veneto, there's a lot of respect. A small club called me, I run the football school." He left Muravera, the sun and sea, for the north. After retiring from playing, he coached Muravera in Sardinia, Pro Patria in Busto Arsizio, in Serie C, then in Malta, with Floriana in Serie A.

His football career was extraordinary. He scored a barrage of goals, but he was never interested in numbers. " Yes, I scored a lot of goals, some beautiful ones like those against Inter and Juventus, but I don't know exactly how many I scored. I still want to look ahead. At 56, there's still so much more to do ."

Lulù Oliveira was a player who even played in the 1998 World Cup with Belgium; three draws and a first-round elimination. In 1992, he joined Cagliari, where he was a key figure under coaches like Radice, Tabarez (the Uruguayan maestro), Trapattoni, and Mazzone. He also played in a UEFA Cup with Cagliari. Then, Bologna, Fiorentina, Catania, Como, Derthona, Nuorese, and Muravera. "I felt comfortable everywhere. I have fond memories of all the shirts I've worn."

Oliveira's dream has always been to be called back by Cagliari to look after youngsters. Now he's back on the peninsula, but perhaps deep down he still dreams of Cagliari and Sardinia.
