Football, Forbes tells the story of the American Campobasso
Excluded from Serie C, the team returned to Serie D after a year. A TV series soon?Campobasso 1919 and the recent promotion of the football team to Serie D end up on Forbes, the prestigious American magazine that deals with economics.
In a long article published recently, the newspaper reported on the story of the Molise team which is now owned by Matt Rizzetta, an American entrepreneur of Italian origins who heads the North Sixth Group in New York. The US newspaper traces the recent history of the club and the victory of the championship after last year's disappointments when Campobasso was expelled from Serie C.
The article also mentions the American actor Mark Consuelos who is one of the investors who supported Rizzetta in Campobasso. "I had never won anything in my life - the actor said about the championship match which in recent days sanctioned the promotion to D - and the feeling was indescribable. Landing on Friday, arriving in Molise and waiting for the match Sunday was like waiting for Christmas." Rizzetta also indicated the projects in the pipeline for the team's future: an agreement on the stadium in the Molise capital, new financial grafts to allow the team to be very competitive in the next championship, creation of a streaming platform. Consuelos, on the other hand, will take care of the brand: the idea is to export the history of Campobasso 1919 to America and the world through a TV series.
