Sergio Nuvoli has been re-elected in Milan as national vice-president of the Press Office Group (GUS) , the specialization group of the National Federation of the Italian Press (FNSI) which represents journalists from press offices operating throughout Italy.
The Sardinian journalist has held the position since 2021 , the year in which the GUS was reconstituted at a national level after a long break. A confirmation also arrived for the presidency of the group, with the election of Assunta Currà, delegate of the GUS Lombardia.
"I feel a strong sense of responsibility," Nuvoli commented. " A challenging three-year period awaits us, after the restart three years ago. Now the GUS is a reality viewed with sympathy by colleagues who work in press offices, also thanks to the initiatives implemented in recent years. It is a matter of continuing on the path undertaken, providing everyone with the training necessary to face the challenges connected to the use of artificial intelligence in our profession. As I said at the States General of information in Sardinia, ethics and professionalism are essential tools."
The new president of GUS Sardegna, Luchino Corrias, also participated in the board meeting that assigned the new roles - in the Walter Tobagi room of the headquarters of the Lombardy Association of Journalists.
The executive board will include, together with the President and the vice-president, Gianni Boselli (President of GUS Emilia Romagna), Marina Mancini (vice-president of GUS Sicilia) and Gianna Zortea (president of GUS Trentino Alto Adige). Manuela Biancospino, president of GUS Lazio and Simona Papè, president of GUS Piemonte, have been appointed secretary and treasurer of the Group respectively.
The Board of Auditors was also elected: Gianni Boselli, president of GUS Umbria, and Furio Reggente, president of GUS Lombardia, will work with the president Donatella Binaglia, delegate of GUS Umbria, while Marina Mancini will be the substitute auditor.
The meeting was greeted institutionally by the president of the Lombardy Association of Journalists Paolo Perucchini and Matteo Naccari, GUS representative for the FNSI.
