Flavio Boltro, reference trumpet of Italian jazz, together with Fabio Giachino, one of the most virtuous young pianists in our country, arrive in Sardinia for a tour that will touch the main jazz clubs of the island.

An extraordinary encounter characterized by an expressive charge of the highest level and declined in a repertoire that moves freely between original compositions and jazz standards.

It starts this evening, Friday 1 April, from Poco Loco in Alghero (10.30 pm) and continues tomorrow at Il Vecchio Mulino di Sassari (8.30 pm) to land on the stage of the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari on Sunday at 9 pm.

Guests of The Jazz Club Network, organized by CeDAC / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia, chaired by Antonio Cabiddu, in collaboration with Sardegna Concerti and the artistic direction of Massimo Palmas, Boltro and Giachino are artists of different generations but united by the opening of original musical views, as well as from the common Piedmontese origin.

On the stages of the island they will give life to a live of profound artistic intensity entitled "Things to say", which gives the name to the new record produced by Cam Jazz.

Flavio Boltro, born in 1961, quickly established himself as the reference trumpet of Italian jazz: in the Eighties he played in Maurizio Giammarco's Lingomania and performed with Steve Grossman, Cedar Walton, Billy Higgins, Clifford Jordan, Jimmy Cobb, Manhu Roche , Joe Lovano, Freddie Hubbard.

He has won the Top Jazz referendum several times, both as a soloist and as a member of Lingomania, and was mentioned by Wynton Marsalis on the pages of "Down Beat" among the ten best trumpeters in the world.

From the nineties his business took a new direction, looking towards France, where he now resides.

36 years to complete, Fabio Giachino, a native of Alba, later moved to Turin to savor the extraordinary jazz vivacity of the Piedmontese capital.

During his career he has won a quantity of prizes such as to make him emerge on the national jazz scene: Massimo Urbani International Award 2011, Chicco Bettinardi National Award 2011, JazzUp Channel's Red Award Revelation 2011.

Also in 2011 he gave life to his Trio, with which he recorded some albums in rapid succession as a leader while also committed to collaborating as a rhythmist for artists such as Rosario Giuliani, Maurizio Giammarco, Emanuele Cisi, Gavino Murgia, Dave Liebman.

Other collaborations of his have seen him at the service of Fabrizio Bosso, Gegè Telesforo, Javier Girotto, Miroslav Vitous, Roy Paci.

Fans will be able to attend the shows according to the usual health and safety regulations that require a reinforced green pass for access to the hall and a compulsory mask for the entire duration of the show.
