Twenty years later five artists return to “Su Palatu” by Villanova Monteleone and the exhibition “Colpi di scena” shows how their research and experimentation has progressed. On Saturday at 6 pm the contemporary art exhibition "Colpi di scena" will be inaugurated, organized by the cultural association Uffici D'Arte, with the patronage of the Municipality of Villanova Monteleone and curated by Mariolina Cosseddu. It is also an opportunity to reopen the palace to the visual arts.
Leonardo Boscani and Erik Chevalier return to share a common project and an ethical and civil denunciation of the immobility of past and stale ideologies. Gianni Nieddu proposes the portraits of writers, poets, philosophers who nourish his poetics by staging the masters of a universal culture. Cristina Meloni, on the contrary, makes a journey in the island territory identifying the symbolic signs of a condition of being where the borders become possible passages of welcome and benign nature. Pietruccia Bassu also works on the symbolic contents of the island's traditions and lays bare the rituals and liturgies that, like cages, crush and explode in the fixedness of female roles.
The mayor Vincenzo Ligios and the Councilor for culture Giusi Murgia, the curator Mariolina Cosseddu, the president of the Art Offices Association Antonio Murgia and Elena Murgia harpist, will be present at the vernissage.
The exhibition will remain open until November 13 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 8pm.
