The four-day Musica sulle Bocche Festival in Castelsardo closes in style. Five events are scheduled for Sunday.
At 6:00 a.m., a dawn concert on the harbor, entrusted to the sensitivity and technique of the great Maurizio Brunod . One of the most iconic musicians on the Italian guitar scene, Brunod has recorded over sixty albums, eight of which are for guitars only. At 11:30 a.m., in Room XI Mattino , a musical aperitif with Déjà Vu , a collective composed of five musicians with diverse backgrounds but united by a passion for soul and all its nuances.
At sunset, at 7:30 pm on the Terrace of Room XI , the scene shifts to more intimate and contemplative territory with the duo composed of cellist Anja Lechner and pianist François Couturier . Their musical project, capable of traversing Bach, Dutilleux, Kancheli, and Brahem, blends improvisation, classical music, and popular melodies.
I Deja Vu
At 10 pm in Piazza Santa Maria, Cristiano Godano , the legendary vocalist of Marlene Kuntz, will perform, accompanied by the super band Guano Padano . The evening will close out at 11 pm in Piazza Pianedda with a free set by Kabaret Maker & Hilmar Arnason , a meeting of two polar opposite sonic universes. The former, an Italian, embodies the irony and eclecticism of a sound that blends folk, techno, breakbeat, and psychedelic electronica; the latter, an Icelandic artist, hails from the early Nordic acid party scene.
On Monday, the Musica sulle Bocche Festival will move to Ploaghe, on Tuesday to Bulzi, and on Wednesday to Tergu.
