Cagliari Primavera finds their first success in the championship against Galloppa's Fiorentina. In Asseminello it ends 1-0 for the Sardinians: Vinciguerra's goal in the 3rd minute of the second half was decisive. Pisacane's team thus redeems itself in the best possible way after the 4-1 defeat suffered last week in Zigonia against Atalanta. Thanks to this success the rossoblù rise to 4 points in the standings.
The match
Pisacane launches a change of formation and players compared to the previous match, with the team lined up with the 4-3-1-2 (and not with the 4-3-3). Two new players in defense with Cogoni in the center (in place of Pintus) and Idrissi on the left side. In midfield Conti jr takes the place of Carboni, moved to the attacking midfield, with Marcolini and Sulev on the sides. In attack, the Kingston-Vinciguerra tandem.
The rossoblù started off straight away and in the 3rd minute Kingstone missed the target from a corner. Cagliari became dangerous again in the 20th minute, again with the Zambian center forward, with a shot from outside the area deflected into a corner by Vannucchi. Shortly afterwards the guests respond with Harder, but Iliev clears it for a corner. In the 26th minute Carboni was forced off due to injury. Pisacane inserts Pulina in his place, without changing the tactical structure. The rossoblùs dropped too low at this stage and Fiorentina came close to taking the lead after half an hour with the post hit by Braschi from distance. Before the break Vitolo scares the Sardinians' goalkeeper, with the ball barely going out.
In the second half the rossoblù entered with greater determination and after just 3 minutes Vinciguerra gave Cagliari the lead. Pisacane's team continues to attack in search of a double. In the 24th minute Vannucchi performs a miracle, blocking Kingstone's goal from close range. In the last quarter of an hour Cagliari manages, without particular risks. At the final whistle the joy of the rossoblù children exploded for their first success of the season.
On Wednesday 27 September the Sardinians will host Ascoli in Asseminello for the preliminary round of the Italian Cup (kick-off at 2pm).
