Cagliari took the lead at the Franchi stadium after 45 minutes in their match against Fiorentina on matchday 22 of Serie A.

After a minute's silence for Viola president Rocco Commisso —who passed away a few days ago—the two teams started strongly. Gudmundsson tried his luck from distance early on, his shot grazing the post to Caprile 's left.
