Now it's official: Salvatore Sirigu is a new Fiorentina player. The Viola club announced that it "has acquired, outright, the rights to the sports performances of the footballer Salvatore Sirigu from SSC Napoli".
Sirigu, Sardinian from La Caletta, 36 years old on 12 January, has worn, among others, the jerseys of Palermo, Paris Saint-Germain, Seville, Osasuna, Turin and Genoa.
The new Viola goalkeeper also boasts 28 appearances for the Italian national team , with which he won the 2020 European Championship.
Sirigu had been linked to Cagliari, in the summer and in this round of the transfer market, but his move to Fiorentina confirms that there has never been any real interest from Giulini's club.
Fiorentina also communicated that it has terminated the loan agreement with Atalanta for the player Pierluigi Gollini.
