The 1,500-seat stadium inside the Viola Parka, the large Fiorentina sports center currently under construction in Bagno a Ripoli, will be named after Davide Astori.
This was announced by Rocco Commisso speaking today at the Franchi stadium. «A few days ago I spoke to Astori's family and gave him the news of the naming - explained the Viola president - While the other 3,000-seat facility in the sports center will be called Curva Fiesole Stadium. We talked about it with the leaders of the curve and they were all satisfied and proud».
On the restructuring project of the Franchi (yesterday a long conversation with the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella) the general director Barone intervened: «There is a continuous discussion awaiting answers to our questions that have not yet arrived. Meanwhile, as a temporary stadium during the works, the Padovani rugby facility was proposed to us, a structure with 16,000 seats. I'll stay with the Municipality to find out more ».
