With a forty-eight-hour “delay” compared to usual, on Friday instead of Wednesday as usual, the designation for Fiorentina-Cagliari on Sunday (12:30). At Franchi the referee will be Marco Piccinini from the Forlì section: a referee with whom the rossoblù do not have a great feeling . His debut took place on 28 October 2018 in a 2-1 victory over Chievo, which however remained Cagliari's only success with him in ten matches. Then just two draws, including the last one on 19 April with Juventus (2-2), and seven defeats (one in the Coppa Italia, the others in Serie A).

Piccinini's assistants will be Ciro Carbone from the Naples section and Giorgio Peretti from the Verona section, fourth official Antonio Rapuano (Rimini). At the VAR for Fiorentina-Cagliari there will be Marco Serra from the Turin section and assistant Maurizio Mariani from the Aprilia section , the latter being the match director last Friday against Verona.
