Stefano Pioli is once again Fiorentina's coach. The coach, fresh from a stint in Saudi Arabia at Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, returns to Florence after wearing the purple jersey as a player (between 1989 and 1995) and leading the Lilies from 2017 to 2019. His second debut as manager of the Tuscan team will be in Cagliari on Sunday, August 24th at 6:30 PM, on the first matchday of Serie A.

Pioli has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028. Supporting the new Fiorentina coach will be a technical staff composed of Andrea Tarozzi (former Viola player) as assistant coach, Gianmarco Pioli, Jesse Andrea Fioranelli, Riccardo Taddei, Aleksandr Nizelik as technical assistants, Matteo Osti, Roberto Peressutti and Alessandro Butini as athletic trainers, Martino Vignali and Andrea Tordi as match analysts, Giorgio Bianchi and Alessandro Dall'Olmo as goalkeeping coaches.

"I am very pleased with Stefano Pioli's arrival as Fiorentina's first team manager," said President Rocco Commisso. " From the first words we exchanged, I saw in the coach human values and a desire to fight for this club and this city he knows so well and to which he is deeply attached . My family, I, and everyone at Fiorentina welcome Stefano back and wish him all the best in this new adventure in the Viola jersey."
