Approval of the adjustment of the budget for 2022-2024. The regional council , on the proposal of the councilor for the budget, Giuseppe Fasolino, has given the green light to the legal-accounting instrument that updates the budget on the basis of the result of the 2021 report which, in addition to having completely eliminated the deficit, for the for the first time it presented a surplus of approximately 78 million euros .

The one approved during the last session of the council is a technical but fundamental bill since it makes definitive the data indicated provisionally and presumptively in the budget law.

"With this bill we acknowledge the persistence of general budget balances - explained the president of the Region Christian Solinas - Thanks to careful management of public accounts, Sardinia can be considered one of the most virtuous regions. Control action on the accounts now makes it possible to have an amount of resources available to be reprogrammed in 2022 thus guaranteeing, together with the other lines of financing already obtained, from the Pnrr to European funds of different nature, passing through the resources deriving from the revenue dispute, full support for companies and families".

The 2021 report approved on 13 June, for the first time since the transition to harmonized accounting recorded an administration surplus of approximately 78 million euros . The overall improvement of about 279 million compared to the 2020 deficit (equal to about 201 million, now covered), has in fact made it possible to fully compensate for that negative result inherited from the management of past years and remained standing in the previous report, reaching zero of the debt in advance of the possibility that the Region had to write off it over several years.

The Councilor for the Budget, Giuseppe Fasolino , recalled that thanks to the resources now released (78 million euros), the Region will be able to continue supporting the Sardinian economic and productive fabric, keeping in place the measures to support growth and competitiveness of the island system and laying the foundations for a prompt recovery.

"We certify the state of good health of our region and we prepare to take on future challenges - explained Fasolino - Today we can say that we have what it takes to continue the important action of reform , modernization and development of Sardinia, without neglecting the part relating to support for territories ".
