Filming Italy Sardinia, everything is ready in Pula for the sixth edition of the Festival
It will take place from 22 to 25 June at Forte Village. Selected for the occasion more than 50 titles including films, documentaries, short films and television series
Everything is ready in Santa Margherita di Pula for the sixth edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival .
The event – conceived and directed by Tiziana Rocca – will be held at the Forte Village from 22 to 25 June . The undisputed stars of the appointment are cinema and television with screenings, meetings and presentations involving the most important distributions and productions of the small and big screen together with the entertainment giants. The collaboration with APA – Association of Audiovisual Producers chaired by Giancarlo Leone, with the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the Municipality of Cagliari and the Costa Smeralda Consortium has been renewed again this year. Among the technical sponsors also the Eredi Luigi Poscia company with the NeroAmbra brand.
«We have selected for these five frenetic days a list that boasts more than 50 titles including international and Italian films , documentaries , short films and television series , of absolutely different genres, precisely to satisfy the largest possible slice of the public, but always aiming highest quality, and many of these will be screened at the festival in absolute preview . Among these, in fact, we will have two films in pre-opening, on the evening of June 21st, A monstrous marriage by Volfango De Biasi and Rented Girlfriend with Jennifer Lawrence . And then Rosario Dawson will present her latest film in an absolute world premiere, Below the belt», explains la Rocca.
«The festival – continues the creator – has become the forerunner of the summer film season , becoming a point of reference for the entire film sector, and for major international and Italian films. Also in this edition, as one of the few women who holds the role of artistic director of a festival, I want to continue contributing to female empowerment, thanks again to the collaboration with Women in Film, Television & Media Italia, the Italian section of the international association which promotes gender equality in the audiovisual and media industries, and we will also do so by delivering the Filming Italy Women Power Award to various female artists who have distinguished themselves for their commitment».
Among the many guests expected at the resort, who will hold exclusive masterclasses with young students from the schools and universities of the Academy Cinema, there will be Christopher Walken , Dennis Quaid , Daniela Melchior , Francesca Chillemi , Claudia Gerini . And again: Paola Cortellesi , Ilenia Pastorelli , Gabriele Lavia . The honorary president of this edition will instead be an actor who has written indelible pages in the history of cinema: Richard Gere .
