After the contributions destined for productive activities to combat depopulation in the Municipalities most at risk, the Sardinia Region is extending the intervention to self-employed workers and freelancers as well.

The announcement , for centers with less than 3,000 inhabitants, will be published in January . The agreement has already been signed with the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari, leader of the Chambers of Commerce of Sardinia, to carry out the preliminary activity and the disbursement of the subsidies. But there is a novelty with respect to the original measure, and it is precisely the enlargement of the audience of beneficiaries.

It is to meet this need that with the Omnibus law additional resources have been allocated in the three-year period 22-24 , making the allocation go from 60 to 120 million (20 million more per year). Overall, with the latest budget change, the resources allocated by the Region against depopulation through the three main lines of action (baby bonus, subsidies for productive activities, first home loans) have risen to 225 million.

The measure in favor of productive activities, starting from 2023, will be linked to that of accompaniment of companies (including new ones) which provides, precisely from next year, a contribution in the form of a tax credit of up to 40% of the taxes paid, with the aim of relieving economic activities from the high costs of taxation.

"The goal we set ourselves at the beginning of the legislature was to actively combat the depopulation and isolation of the territories, a scourge that is widespread throughout the region but more marked in some areas - explains the Councilor for the Budget, Giuseppe Fasolino - Today we are working to complete this project and accompany the rebirth of small Sardinian municipalities that risked disappearing without an intervention by the Region".
