A new stage of the Sardinia Region to fight against depopulation. In fact, the allocated resources rise to 225 million euros and there are three lines of action: birth bonuses, subsidies for productive activities and mortgages for first homes.

Through the last change in the budget, 60 million euros are integrated over the three-year period (20 for each year) for the productive activities of the Municipalities with less than 3 thousand inhabitants.

"The measure - explains the Region - already provided for an allocation of 60 million euros which now becomes 120 and is added to the other allocations (45 million for first home loans and 60 million for newborns) ".

«Supporting entrepreneurial development in small municipalities and encouraging the ability to do business is part of the plurality of interventions we have been carrying out with determination and commitment since the beginning of the Legislature - comments the president Christian Solinas - We have accepted the challenge of modernizing our island which must necessarily also pass through the fight against the isolation of territories and the desertification of internal areas. We are working so that every municipality and every territory, especially the smallest and most fragile, may have the ability to redeem themselves and generate lasting growth and development» .

"We have decided to intervene again on a chapter that we consider strategic, the one relating to the fight against depopulation, because the analysis of the data to date shows a growth in openings that could not be estimated upon approval of the maneuver", adds Giuseppe Fasolino, councilor of the Planning and Budgeting. "Particularly thanks to this additional allocation, we aim to encourage the rebirth of small municipalities because we give families and businesses the opportunity to fully experience those territorial realities which, due to the aging of the population and the exodus of young people, are at risk of dying" .

The grant granted ranges from 15,000 to 20,000 to open new businesses in centers at risk of depopulation . In detail, for each opening or transfer of business in the territory of Municipalities with a population of less than 3,000 inhabitants, a non-repayable grant of 15 thousand euros will arrive, which becomes 20 thousand if employment increases.

Not only that: starting next year, this measure will be joined by the one to accompany businesses (including new ones) which provides for a contribution from 2023 in the form of a tax credit of up to 40% of the taxes paid. The aim is to relieve economic activities from the high costs of taxation.
