FIGC, Angelo Agus head of the Italy Under 15 delegation.
The Sardinian manager was appointed by the FIGC commissioner, Giovanni Malagò, as head of delegation for the Under 15 national team, which, at the end of October, finished in 12th place (out of 189 participating national teams) at the first edition of the FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival held in Azerbaijan.
"We want to strengthen the development of our youth national teams," said Malagò, "and Agus brings over 30 years of experience, built on skill and passion, to the national team. His story perfectly embodies the values of merit, commitment, and attention to young people that the FIGC aims to promote."
Agus, 61, originally from Soleminis, has built his career—across the field, coaching, and management—starting in amateur and youth teams, eventually holding senior positions at the provincial, regional, and national levels. His football career, which began in the early 1990s at the Oratorio Don Milani in Soleminis, included playing in Dolianova, Serdiana, Settimo, Gialeto, Pirri, Asseminese, Villaputzu, Pula, and Quartu. These experiences allowed him to compete in a variety of categories, from youth football to the women's Serie A2. In the early 2000s, he began his career as a manager: in 2002, he was elected president of the AIAC of the Province of Cagliari, and from 2011 to 2024, he led the association at the regional level. Agus served on the Arbitration Panel of the National Amateur League in Rome and on the Council of the Sardinia Regional Committee, also providing consultancy and teaching services for UEFA courses and in the organizational context of the Youth and School Sector.
He has also worked with leading clubs such as Bologna, Cagliari, Chievo Verona, Inter, and Roma. In recent years, his career has been enriched with new roles: since 2022, he has been general manager and trainer of Club Sardegna Calcio, since 2024 he has held the same role at Club Sardegna International, and since 2025 he has been a national councilor for AIAC. "I thank Malagò for the trust he has placed in me and for the role he has entrusted me with," says Agus. "I am proud and very motivated. In my new role, I will accompany the technical staff and players on their growth and development journey, especially those young players who are wearing the blue jersey for the first time, demonstrating the values and principles of Club Italia."
