The General Council of the Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers, which met today, renewed the appeal to the Government and political forces to increase the resources to support publishing to counter the crisis in the sector and to support the ongoing technological transformation processes.

«We note with satisfaction», stated the president of Fieg, Andrea Riffeser Monti, «the commitment made by Antonio Tajani, vice president of the Council of Ministers, to restore full support for publishing and we hope that concrete actions will follow the promises, because the sector is in absolute need of resources after almost all the measures introduced by previous governments were suspended".
