The 23rd edition of FestivAlguer opened over the weekend with two events that confirmed the festival, hosted by ExPop Teatro,'s ability to transform Alghero into a vibrant stage. On Saturday, December 6th, in Piazza Sulis, Teatro dei Venti's "Don Chisciotte" thrilled the audience with stilts, stage machinery, live music, and a drama suspended between dream and reality, transforming the urban space into a place of collective wonder.
On Sunday the 7th, the traveling performance "Missione Roosevelt," created by Tony Clifton Circus and Teatro Necessario Circo, passed through the historic center with a long line of wheelchair-bound participants, amid smiles, amazement, and empathy. An act capable of breaking down symbols and taboos, transforming a fragile object into an instrument of creative freedom.
The festival continues at the Teatro Civico on December 12th with two free performances of mentalist Andrea Redavid's show, and on the 13th and 14th at the Giardini Manno with Emanuela Savi's “Wacky.”
