A tribute to artist Andrea Parodi will be paid at the Festival delle Bellezze, which will return for the third consecutive year to the Atrio Metropoli of the Basilica of San Gavino in Porto Torres, with a stop on its ninth edition, scheduled for Saturday, October 17th at 9:00 PM.

For the occasion, the choristers, soloists, and instrumentalists of the Nova Euphonia Vocal Ensemble and the City of Sassari Student Choir, conducted by Maestro Vincenzo Cossu, will perform a concert of sacred, Sardinian, pop, and film music. The program will include pieces by Mozart, James Horner, Morricone, Tazenda, Hans Zimmer, Oliver Onions, John Williams, and many others. One or more special guests are likely to appear.

The show, sponsored by the Municipality of Porto Torres and supported by the Sassari Chamber of Commerce through the Salude & Trigu brand, will this year be partnered with the Andrea Parodi Foundation . This synergy is especially timely, given that the event falls exactly on the 20th anniversary of the passing of the legendary first frontman of Tazenda, the iconic male voice of Sardinia.

The show will open and close with explicit tributes to Andrea Parodi's music, and there will be further references to the singer's art and music. Journalist Manuela Muzzu will host the evening. This year, too, the event will coincide with the celebrations in honor of the Holy Martyrs of Turritani, and admission is free, subject to availability in the basilica.
