The 2023 World Championship starts in the worst way for Ferrari , with both reds off the podium , despite the third and fourth places on the grid.
On lap 40, Charles Leclerc 's car suddenly lost power and the Monegasque was forced to retire. Confirmed the fourth starting position Carlos Sainz , who was overtaken eleven laps from the checkered flag by the eternal Fernando Alonso , third at 41 years old with his Aston Martin.
In the end, Red Bull still dominated, with Max Verstappen finishing ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and taking the first 25 points.
