FdI-Lega rift on the island, Moro: «No fear of running alone»

Nothing personal with Christian Solinas . The eviction notice to the Sardinian president given in Sardinia by Fratelli d'Italia in view of the next regional elections is very linked to the tensions registered in the autonomous province of Trento , where Giorgia Meloni's party left the Fugatti council because the League would not have respected pre-electoral agreements.
That the name FdI is banking on is that of the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu is certainly no mystery. But for weeks, or rather months, FdI Sardinia kept a low profile, while always keeping the point and claiming the right to lead the coalition and, why not, to indicate an alternative name for the presidency of the Region.
Then, two days ago, the note: " There are no longer the conditions to support a second mandate for Christian Solinas", is one of the fundamental passages of the statement signed by the regional coordinator and senator Antonella Zedda . A position already clearly expressed by the "big center" headed by Antonello Peru and Stefano Tunis, in a more veiled way by Forza Italia.
Only the League, especially through the voice of leader Matteo Salvini, supported and continues to support Solinas bis.
And while the FdI note refers to a regional table to be convened in the next few days «to decide with the allies what the path to take is to return to the government of the island», the coordinator Michele Pais from the Northern League declared that «not there can be no veto against Solinas" while the president of the Psd'Az, Antonio Moro , spoke of the " current attempt to use Sardinia as retaliation against the League for an unresolved question of seats within the autonomous province of Trent." Not ruling anything out at this point and specifying: " No fear of running alone ."
