Tragedy on the ski slopes of Rosières, a mountain resort in south-eastern France, where actor Gaspard Ulliel died.

The 37-year-old Frenchman was injured following a fall: as reported by the local press he was already unconscious when the rescuers arrived on the scene, and there was nothing for him to do.

Born into a family of designers, Ulliel began his career in television series, before making his film debut in "Alias" in 1999.

The consecration comes in 2005 with the victory of the César prize as best male promise for “A long Sunday of passions” by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, where he plays alongside Audrey Tautou.

Among his most famous roles, those of Hannibal Lecter in the 2007 film “Hannibal Lecter - The origins of evil”. He also recently played fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent in Bertrand Bonello's film “Saint Laurent” (2014), for which he earned another Cèsar nomination.

Among his latest works, "It's only the end of the world" by Xavier Dolan (2016), "Eva" by Benoît Jacquot (2018) and "Sybil" by Justine Triet (2019).

He is also among the faces of the “Marvel Moon Knight” series, expected this year.

Testimonial of the men's perfume Bleu de Chanel, it was directed by Martin Scorsese in the campaign spot.

Among his most famous ties are those with Cécile Cassel (from 2005 to 2007) and Charlotte Casiraghi (in 2007).

In 2016 he had a son with model Gaëlle Pietri.
