Fassino shows the slip of parliamentarians: "We take 4,718 euros a month, it's not a golden salary"
The Pd deputy: «Gross over 10,000. But enough with the clichés, it's just a good allowance""One of the clichés is that parliamentarians, especially deputies, enjoy golden salaries". And for Piero Fassino, who sits in Montecitorio on the benches of the Democratic Party, this is unacceptable. He does not admit that one can think so.
Today during the debate in the courtroom he showed the honorable salary slip referring to July 2023. «It turns out that the gross indemnity is 10,435 euros, from which Irpef, health care, the deputies' social security, the regional and municipal surtaxes. Once the right withdrawals have been made», he underlines, «the net indemnity is 4,718 euros per month. Is that okay? Yes".
Then Fassino turns to his colleagues: "When they tell you that you enjoy golden salaries, it's not true: it's a good allowance, but it's not a golden salary".
At the center of the debate was the vote on Montecitorio's internal budget. And Fassino, who stood up as defender of the annuities, was the only abstention.
