Mourning in the world of Bolognese football.

Romano Fogli, one of the most beloved symbols of Bologna and icon of the last Scudetto, died this morning at the age of 83.

The former midfielder was the last player of the 1964 team alive: 344 appearances with the Bologna shirt, rossoblù for more than ten years from 1957 to 1968 and then also as a coach. Fogli also wore the shirts of Turin, Milan and Catania.

As Bologna recalls, "he soon also made his debut in the national team, with Bologna he won the Mitropa 1961 and the 1964 championship, scoring the memorable goal of the advantage in the play-off with Inter and harmonizing poetry with his touch of the ball as an artist of the tricolor eleven that every Rossoblù fan - and not only - plays with affection and admiration. He then continued to win titles, in the second part of his career, even with Milan ", underlines Bologna who then concludes by remembering" with great emotion the friend Romano "and participating" in the pain of the family ".
