The famous designer Paco Rabanne died today in France , in Portsall. He was 88 years old .
Rabanne had entered the fashion world in the 1960s , initially as a jewelry designer for Givenchy, Dior and Balenciaga.
The launch of his brand in 1966, distinguishing himself from the outset for the use of unusual materials such as metal, paper and plastic. A feature that earned him the nickname of " metallurgist of fashion " from Coco Chanel.
He was also the first stylist ever to use music in his fashion shows , then lending his artistic skills to the cinema: in this sense, the stage costumes of Barbarella are famous.
